Lisa Alter Named to The Hollywood Reporter's Inaugural "New York's Top 20 Entertainment Attorneys" 2020 List

The firm is pleased to announce that Lisa Alter has been named to The Hollywood Reporter's first-ever "New York Power Lawyers" feature, which spotlights the most influential attorneys in the entertainment industry who are based on the East Coast. The exclusive list focuses on only 20 NYC-area attorneys who are setting themselves apart from their peers in the media, music, fashion and theater industries.

The firm is proud to announce that Lisa Alter was selected for inclusion in Variety's 2020 "Dealmakers Impact Report." Each year, the coveted list profiles the key players driving the most significant deals impacting the entertainment industry.

New York-based Reservoir has acquired the prolific catalog of Songwriters Hall of Famer Bob Crewe. The deal includes the late Crewe’s popular Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons singles including “My Eyes Adored You”, “Walk Like A Man”, and “Big Girls Don’t Cry”, plus other mega-hits such as “Lady Marmalade”, “Silhouettes”, and more.

The firm is pleased to announce that Joyce Dollinger, Esq. has been re-elected to The Association of Independent Music Publishers 2021-2022 Board of Directors, NY Chapter.

Primary Wave has acquired a majority stake in the publishing catalog of legendary Fleetwood Mac singer and solo artist Stevie Nicks, who recently enjoyed a surprise chart smash with her 43-year-old song “Dreams,”. The company will also represent Nicks in brand alliance and brand marketing opportunities and will partner with Kobalt on administration for the catalog. The deal includes “Dreams,” along with timeless hits such as “Landslide,” “Edge of Seventeen” and “Stand Back”. Over the course of a career that reaches back to the early 1970s, Nicks is the only woman to have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice — as a member of Fleetwood Mac and again as a solo artist.

Downtown Music Publishing has acquired the rights to music from the catalog of legendary songwriter and record producer William “Mickey” Stevenson. The former head of Motown A&R penned the hit “Dancing In The Street,” as well as classic songs for Eddie Holland, Gaye, Kim Weston, The Supremes, The Temptations and many others.

The firm is proud to announce that Lisa Alter has been named to Billboard’s prestigious “Women in Music” list for 2020. The highly-anticipated annual list features top women in the music industry who are creating excitement and making their marks across labels, publishing and touring.
