Caitlin Murphy Pine

Caitlin Murphy Pine began her career in the arts as a classically trained violist based in New York City. Her arts administration career has focused on supporting the new music performing arts field through private foundation grantmaking. She is the Head of Grantmaking Services at Alter, Kendrick & Baron LLP (AKB) for the Aaron Copland Fund for Music and the Amphion Foundation. Prior to joining AKB in 2012, Caitlin worked as the grants and development coordinator at Chamber Music America, and with Symphony Space’s renowned Selected Shorts program. Additionally, she has served as the vice president of development and on the board of trustees at Sutton Place Synagogue in New York City and was on the board of directors of the Astoria Music Society. Caitlin has also supported NYC-based chamber music ensembles with administrative strategy and board development. She earned her bachelor’s degree in viola performance from Oberlin College and Conservatory of Music and has completed additional studies in business administration and private foundation practices. Caitlin lives in Northern Virginia and participates in her children’s school Parent Teacher Organization fundraising committee, is active with her local synagogue, and is an enthusiastic audience member at many performing arts events in Washington, D.C., and New York City.
