Julia concentrates her practice in the area of music transactions, including the acquisition and sale of composition and recording catalogs.

Before joining Alter, Kendrick & Baron, Julia practiced at ArentFox Schiff as a music transactions and copyright associate, focusing on music catalog sales and copyright terminations.  Julia began her legal career at Clifford Chance where she practiced in the firm’s corporate department.

Julia received her J.D. from Columbia Law School in 2020. She was a student editor for the Columbia Law School Journal of Law & the Arts and graduated a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. During her time at Columbia, Julia worked at the law school’s Kernochan Center for Law, Media & the Arts and interned at Sony Music Entertainment.

Julia graduated summa cum laude from New York University with a BA in philosophy in 2017.
